I think AR has more application and benefits outside the four walls of the classroom. For example, when students are out exploring nature, AR can help them learn more about forest trees, herbs, insects and so on. Out at a heritage site, AR can allow students to go travel back in history. When they are using scientific method to come up with their own predictions and answers , for instance to measure shadow or distance between two points at the elementary school level, they can use AR in groups to assess their answers, discuss and construct new knowledge. AR really presents itself as a means to makes learning more open and flexible.

This is a terrific example of supporting place-based learning with storytelling. If the technology works, it seems like a wonderful way to enhance in situ learning. Thank you!
What great ideas! Have you had the opportunity to try any of them out? If not, what support (resources, people, training etc.) would you need to implement AR with your students?
